A social and cultural experience

Relax, enjoy your free time and explore your surroundings

Each of our locations offers a huge range of things to do. Our dedicated Social Programme Organisers plan enjoyable and varied programmes of activities and trips to help you make the most of your stay.

Day trip to Brighton

Students at Bell Cambridge hired a flat-bottomed boat called a ‘punt’ which is propelled along using a pole. Punting is the best way to see the stunning university colleges and their beautiful river banks, known as ‘The Backs’, for which Cambridge is famous.

'Beefeaters' at the Tower of London

Bell Bedgebury students visited the historic royal palaces such as Hampton Court, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. They spent the afternoon shopping in Harrods, then finished the day off with dinner and a show in the West End.

Day trip to Brighton

Bell London students enjoyed a great day out in Brighton. After trying some typically English pub food, they had a look around the Royal Pavilion. Then it was on to Brighton Pier which offers a variety of entertainment from old-fashioned amusements to the latest thrilling rides.

iconWhat do you want to do?

Unlike many other language centres, our core social programme is included in your course fees. Additional activities and trips are also regularly available. If there’s something you want to do that isn't on the social programme, we can help you with all the arrangements – from making phone calls and bookings, and providing advice and information, to negotiating discounts, hiring cars, and booking accommodation. So if you've always had a burning desire to bungee jump, see a West End show, or fly in a helicopter, we'll help you find the best deals and assist with the arrangements.

Who would you like to meet?

Joining in with social activities is also a great way to meet other students and practise your new language skills. At Bell you have a unique opportunity to mix with students from a diverse range of nationalities, allowing you to develop your English language and communication skills in a natural and enjoyable way.

Something for everyone
From relaxing river cruises and tours of great historical cities to theatre trips and great nights out, there really is something for everyone. All you have to do is choose what you want to do and sign up! The social programme is changed each month.
