On arrival you will receive extensive diagnostic tests to identify your learning strengths and assess areas for improvement in your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and speaking.

When you begin your course, your tutor will discuss your test results with you and talk to you about what you would like to achieve. Your tutor will work with you to agree your specific learning objectives – the ‘learning contract’.

Our expert tutors regularly assess and test your progress. You will receive regular 1 to 1 tutorials to discuss your development. Your tutor can advise you on the best study materials for you and how to practise your language skills outside the classroom, for example in your homestay family or on the social programme.

If for any reason, you are not meeting your agreed objectives, we guarantee that we will work with you to review your ‘learning contract’ and do everything we reasonably can to help.

You will receive regular course reports throughout the course and on completion, which detail your language level, development and progress. You can use this document as a record of your studies for school, higher education institutes and employers.

Your language learning is never complete. Before you leave Bell we will provide guidance on how to continue improving your language skills when you return home.
